Suzanne DeRosa, Owner and C0-Founder of The Little Green Tambourine, has been working with children for nearly twenty years.  For the last four years, she has been teaching Pre-K and continuing her studies in early childhood education, specializing in music.  As a Birth and Post Partum Doula, she provides support and encouragement to parents through the most important and sometimes most challenging journey of their lives.  She is also a certified Yoga Instructor for children, including her own - Hailey, Hunter and Sarah.  Suzanne is dedicated to being a community resource for children and families that want to learn proactive ways to care for their children and their environment.  She is the Canton, CT representative for Green Halloween - a non-profit organization that aims to gradually turn the holidays into more healthy celebrations by introducing fun and exciting alternatives to otherwise unhealthy traditions.  As a mother of three children and a born teacher, she believes that children can and should learn through themes that they are naturally drawn to - like music and nature.
Suzanne has had formal vocal training, and is in the process of writing her first album of children’s songs.  She lives in Farmington with her husband, three children and bird.

TLGT is excited to introduce our new Art teacher and part time party coordinator, Katie Malachowski!

Since about the time Katie Malachowski has been able to hold a crayon, she has been an avid fan of the arts. She has been seriously studying the arts for years and spent a summer semester in Paris taking drawing classes and enjoying the artistic and cultural experiences Paris offers. Katie is currently a certified art teacher and has been teaching in various positions for the last two years. More recently, she has been teaching after school computer classes for the Computer Explorers program in Hartford county, focusing on creative arts software for children.

Katie is also a fan and volunteer staff member of ConnectiCon LLC, which is an annual pop culture convention in Hartford, CT. Through this organization, she has met many friends, artists, and industry professionals who share her passions and dedication to programs that promote the arts, especially among youth. Katie greatly enjoys working with children as well as scrap booking, yoga, music, and nostalgia.
